been learning 5 Days In May by Blue Rodeo lately, as well as Pulling Teeth by Green Day off of Dookie. bought a variety of guitar picks yesterday... found some new ones, and I says to the guy, "hey guy, are these any good?" and he says to me, "buddy, i find that one's just as good as another." I refrain from saying "except for the shitty ones with your store logo on them which last for approximately 30 seconds and then break in half because they are so goddam cheap that it makes kittens cry"... OOh! been restringing my guitar... uh, lets see-- oh yeah, I was away on exercise up near sudbury last weekend... that was cold. had fun though. got hold of an old FN C1A1 rifle (L1A1 too you Joosy Froot) and carried that as the enemy force commander. Glee! Much fun was had, but as I only had one magazine I was forced to reload after/during each contact from my pocket of delinked loose rounds. part of the exercise I spent guarding a big hydroelectric dam from friendly recce patrols. It was pretty cool, like a location from a movie.

This is my favorite song by an outfuckinstanding Canadian band. Diamond Mine by Blue Rodeo. In the video, the song is shortened to exclude the lengthy organ solo from the album version. This track is unbelievable live, with the low bass notes and rhythm line.

The flame sensor in the furnace infrequently develops a very thin layer of carbon. This very thin layer of carbon causes the furnace to go out after running for about 30 seconds. at which point the thermostat say to the furnace, "hey dummy, the house is still fucking cold. turn on!". thus continues the delicate ballet of home heating. furnace on, funace off, furnace on, furnace off and so forth... therefore, i was forced to again dig inside the furnace, remove the sensor, wipe it down and replace it. certain persons concerned with this group will be happy to know I used an enjo thingy.
